Swedish Massage
is holistic and therapeutic in that it involves the manipulation
of the soft tissue structures of the body to alleviate pain, discomfort,
muscle spasm and stress. Its main purpose is to relax and restore
you, but it can also be stepped up to be firming and toning and
invigorating because treatment involves percussive tapotement, and
wringing & rolling movements. The treatment is carried out in
a set sequence of strokes from top to toe.
Gillian is available 7 days at short notice and can do visiting
massage at $90 for one hour.

therapy is
specifically tailored to relieve sporting injuries or over-exertion
due to exercise. It involves postural assessment, deep tissue pressure
point and neuromuscular techniques, myofascial release. This helps
an athlete to recover more quickly from injury or rigorous training
sessions. In addition, it can help you get the most out of your
rest times, improve performance on and off the field, plus allow
you to maximize the benefits of each and every training session.
Sports Massage works deep to eliminate toxins embedded in muscle
fibres, remove adhesions, and minimize scar tissue build-up. Advance
notice is required for this treatment with Justin, and Marie
is available certain hours 7 days per week.

up within the muscles. It can ease pain and stiffness, release muscle
tension and improve joint mobility and nerve function. Great for

Massage -
(Therapist is Denise)

Ancient
Polynesian/ Hawaiian massage. The therapist moves in long flowing
deep strokes using their hands, forearms and elbows and moves around
the table (using flowing hula & Tai Chi style movements) working
with energy while applying soft and deep tissue massage. Music is
played and the practitioner attunes the flow of the massage to harmonise
the various rhythms within the client's body-mind-soul. Melts away
tension and revitalizes you from head to toe, leaving you with a
sense of deep peace and profound relaxation. Denise needs a few

Aromatherapy
is a gentler more soothing type of massage with the object of
achieving deep relaxation, relief from stress and worry. Also
helps with many other physical conditions, please see below for
the details. We carry out assessment of needs first; you advise
us what conditions you want to address at the session, then we
mix you an essential oil blend that suits you uniquely.
We use Lotus brand Essential Oils mixed in Almond Oil, (and sometimes
Grapeseed oil), It can either be a one off session or a course
of 6 sessions. We use the smoother Swedish techniques but can
add some deeper Remedial techniques over problems areas if the
need arises.

More about Aromatherapy:
When essential oils are applied to the skin, their small aromatic
molecules are absorbed through skin into the bloodstream and then
carried in the blood to different parts of the body. When essential
oils are inhaled, the small molecules are transmitted via the olfactory
system to the limbic area in the brain: the area that is connected
to the hormonal and nervous systems as well as the emotions.
